
Dark Spotted Palthis - Palthis angulalis
Total length: 18 mm. Brown forewings have oblique median band that stops short of the costa. Reniform spot is a slanting, brown crescent. Apical patch is rusty brown. Outer third of the forewings are tightly creased. Males have upturned labial palps.
Habitat: Attracted to a light in a rural area.

The Dark-spotted Palthis is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found from Newfoundland west to coastal British Columbia, south to Florida and Texas.
