Leaf Skeletonizing Beetle Larva - Trirhabda adela Metallic blue larva with frass (poop) sticking out of its rear. I&#039;m guessing the frass is a defensive strategy because every time I touched the leaf, the larva would wiggle it&#039;s butt in the air.  The adults and many other larvae were present on this same plant.<br />
