Alien with 4 Eyes!

This was a special find of a Euprotomus bulla as they normally have only 2 eyes whereas this one has 4 eyes. The 2 middle eyes are superfluous or anomaly.

During the dive, I noticed that there was something different but just couldn't placed it. And I didn't get to take many pics of it as I was helping a diver who was not coping well with strong current at that point of the dive. The eyes are normally withdrawn into the shells when approached and I have to wait for quite a while before it feels comfortable to peek out again.

Previously, I have posted this Cone Snail before and they were wrongly identified as Euprotomus vomer. It seems Euprotomus vomer are not recorded from the Philippines. This crucial information came from an expert who gave me the correct ID as he asked me for the use of this special picture to be used in a scientific paper to be publish soon.
