Habitat: Attracted to a blacklight in a rural area.

Every time I got close to this moth, it would fly off to a hard to reach spot. This shot is the best I could get.

"Heliomata cycladata", the common spring moth, is a moth of the family Geometridae. It is found in eastern North America, with records from southern Ontario, southern Quebec, Maine, New Hampshire, Michigan, Wisconsin to South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, northern Mississippi and Arkansas.
