
Great Oak Dagger - Acronicta lobeliae
When I first spotted this moth, it was on the floor of my deck, and it crawled underneath the screen door. If I had opened the door, I could have decapitated it. So, I was stuck on my deck for awhile until I could coax it out.
TL: 25 mm. Gray/white forewing with white-edges lines and thick, black dashes.
Habitat: Rural area

''Acronicta lobeliae'' is a moth of the family Noctuidae. It is found in North America. The larva feed on Quercus species.
