  1. After 10 days in Taiwan without ever seeing these, we spent a couple nights at a place in the countryside where they were everywhere! I'm used to orb weavers, and they're always impressive, but these were truly massive, as suits their status as one of the world's largest spider species! Posted 6 years ago

  3. Nephila genus is filled with such great arachnid lookers. Beautifully presented here and glad you got to see so many! I'd like to see one of these here in Australia, having only come across N.edulis and N.plumipes up until now. Posted 6 years ago

"Nephila pilipes" is a species of golden orb-web spider. It resides all over countries in East and Southeast Asia as well as Oceania. It is commonly found in primary and secondary forests and gardens.
