    1. Yeah it's a great place, and almost completely off the radar of western tourists!
      Interesting cultures, very nice people, beautiful and diverse landscapes, and a very rich biodiversity. As always, I focused on the birds, as there are over 25 endemic bird species already recognized and more likely to be split in the future. But there are also many endemic mammals, herps, and insects!
      All in all, highly recommended :)

The chestnut munia, also known as black-headed munia, is a small passerine bird. This estrildid finch is a resident breeding bird in Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Burma, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and Hawaii.
