Florida Predatory Stink Bug Nymph (Euthyrhynchus floridanus)
On an oak tree at the edge of a dense mixed forest (mostly oak-hickory) .
We are officially in the middle of our move, and my body has decided that I need to be sidelined by a summer cold. I've been stuck in bed since late Thursday, so Jason has been sending me photos of things around the camper in the meantime. Isn't he the best?
Excuse the cell-phone quality photo! I figured I would still contribute a new species to JD though! Once I'm feeling better, I plan on scouting this spot for adults and nymphs!

"Euthyrhynchus floridanus", the Florida predatory stink bug, is a species of carnivorous shield bug in the family Pentatomidae. It is native to the hottest parts of the southeastern United States and is considered beneficial because it feeds on many species of pest insects.

It has been pretty rough so far, and it looks like today I'll be spending another day resting. Posted 6 years ago, modified 6 years ago
The dryness of the narrator of the 2nd video: "they have striking colors, which we may find....attractive" :) Posted 6 years ago
