Fresh Beaver Marks on Tree This is the perfect example of my luck photographing mammals! I see them fairly frequently, but can never get shots of them. They either hear me before I can get close enough, or I freeze when seeing them and don&#039;t manage to get a shot. The tree in this photo had fresh beaver claw and tooth marks on it, and the beaver scampered away at my approach. I was so close!<br />
<br />
Beavers are incredible animals. They are determined, hard-working engineers and sometimes pests. Their teeth grow continuously during their life and they eat . They eat leaves, bark, twigs, ferns, shrubs, water plants, grass, and fish. <br />
<br />
Habitat: Tree on the edge of a pond. Beaver lodge and food plots were nearby.<br />
<br />
These marks were a bit older than the ones seen below, and were on a nearby tree:<br />
