Yes, a poorly chosen name for such a glittering clearwing superstar. I found this when I was lagging behind with the rest of the group. As Rio Ñambi is a very dark forest with hardly any open space, butterflies are not abundant to see. Yet when you do see one...

''Dulcedo'' is a Neotropical butterfly genus from the subfamily Satyrinae in the family Nymphalidae. The genus is monotypic: its sole species is ''Dulcedo polita'', which occurs from Nicaragua to Colombia.
