Time For a Bit of Salad! After a long dry spell the rain started this morning. The wetness brought out our Pacific Sideband. There were three of them out and about and grazing on the moss. Hard to know which one to “focus” on! Their mouths are located on the underside beneath the tentacles. Canada,Geotagged,Monadenia fidelis,Pacific sideband,Spring Click/tap to enlarge

  1. Nice tentacle shot! We were checking out some garden snails this afternoon - humming to them so they would come out of their shell. Sounds silly, but it works - or, at least I have convinced myself that it works ;P Posted 6 years ago
    1. Hmmmm! Don’t know if my humming would work or not. This little guy did not need any encouragement at all.
A Young Pacific Sideband Land Snail. This fellow was inside an upside down wheelbarrow until I turned the wheelbarrow over. It was quite comfortable travelling on my hand or anyone else’s. It was exploring! Canada,Geotagged,Monadenia fidelis,Pacific sideband,Spring

      1. Wow! Such a long body! The snails that I usually see are small, stubby, and require coaxing. Posted 6 years ago
        1. This one seemed very “friendly”! Posted 6 years ago
