I prefer the crop version too.
Normally if the eye is sharp and some parts of the body are less sharp often it isn't that disturbing. But in this original I found the bit unsharpness of the mouth less attractive. Now with this crop the photo is more exciting. Posted 12 years ago

The Panther Chameleon is a species of chameleon. It lives in the eastern and northern parts of Madagascar in a tropical forest biome. Additionally, it has been introduced to Réunion and Mauritius.
