So small I almost did not see them buried in the grasses

  1. I still refrain from photographing these small plants, which in most cases are everywhere, but we are so accustomed to them, we do not even notice them. But it's high time to pay more attention to them, I'm sure there are many species among them that are not shot and uploaded here. Posted 6 years ago
    1. A good plan, Jivko! I too keep discovering things I used to just walk past as subject to photograph:

      - Tiny plants (some of which look similar yet may be several species)
      - Ferns
      - Gall wasps
      - Tiny grass moths

All things taken for granted and somehow ignored. I'm definitely learning from other members to keep my eyes open but it takes time to adjust :)

''Eriastrum diffusum'' is a species of flowering plant in the phlox family known by the common name miniature woollystar. It is native to the southwestern United States from California to Texas, where it grows in many types of open habitat. This is an annual herb producing a thin, usually woolly stem up to about 20 centimeters long, growing erect or spreading outward. The leaves are divided into 2 to 4 narrow, threadlike linear lobes. The inflorescence is a woolly cluster of narrow, leaflike bracts.. more
