    1. Thanks Paul, right now is the time to look for the eggs - usually a single egg per plant/stalk:
      Anthocharis cardamines - Egg close-up The female Orange Tip (Anthocharis cardamines) will usually lay just one egg on a plant and signal with feromones that the plant is "taken" to warn off other females, assuring that the caterpillar will have the plant to itself and thus will have enough food to complete its development.
