Flame-faced tanager, Rio Ñambi, Colombia
7am, just a few minutes in, and this bird instantly made me forget about our horrible night. The day already a success, anything extra is a plus from here on. It's not an extremely rare bird, I just find it an awesome bird. Plus, after the flame-colored tanager, flame-rumped tanager and flame-throated warbler, flame-faced was still missing.

The flame-faced tanager is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae. It is found in the eastern Andes of Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
