Moss-backed tanager, Rio Ñambi, Colombia I don't know the name of this fruit but surely we appreciated it as it attracted several species of tanagers. I don't know the name of this fruit but surely we appreciated it as it attracted several species of tanagers. This tanager has a bright blue face and yellow chest. Zoologists call it "moss-backed" because in another universe this makes total sense. Within Colombia, only found in the south.

It is found in Colombia and Ecuador.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
