This fern grows on rocks and doesn't need well-developed soil! It's fairly common and native to eastern North America.

  Awesome! I'm always amazed when I see ferns and other plants growing on rocks. This past weekend I saw a pine tree growing on a rock, and it looked to be at least 2-3 years old. Posted 5 years ago
