Hypecoum dimidiatum is an annual plant of the Papaveraceae family. it has big yellow flowers, with 4 petals arranged in a rectangle - 2 big ones and 2 small ones. it grows mostly on the edge of desert, but also on Mount Hermon - the Irano-Turanian region. the Beduines have extracted opium-like substance from it.
