  1. I'm practically drooling over your moths!!

Nemoria interlucens? Or, Racheospila astraeoides or Synchlora amplimaculata?

    1. Hah, finally have you drooling! Well, we're nearing the end, gotta go out with a bang.

Out of those 3, Racheospila astraeoides looks like an exact match to me:

Nemoria interlucens seems to have more tiny speckles in the wing. Synchlora amplimaculata seems possible, but reliable specimen photos seem scarce.

      Thank you as always!

      1. Ohhh noo, so much for my hard stance on my never being a drooler. My limping, bone rattling, drooling persona is now complete.

I agree on the ID as well. I was favoring Nemoria interlucens, but didn't notice the speckles until you mentioned them.

        1. One day I'm going to pay an illustrator to draw this persona and then overrule your avatar. Consider it a perk :) Posted 6 years ago
          1. Bahaha! And my response to such an image would be...

            1. Lol it should be an animated gif, flashing and all. On reddit there's some hilarious groups that focus on grandparents misunderstanding technology. My favorite is a lady printing out and framing a photo of her grand daughter with the Facebook like button and all attached to it.

Will enjoy making fun of old people until the table turns on me.

              1. Hehe, I love memes like that! It could totally be my face in them as I am so tech-challenged. I'm an old lady in training... Posted 6 years ago
  2. I had identified a photo of mine, which looks virtually identical (how can I attach a photo to my comment?), from Santander, on the Eastern Cordillera of Colombia, as Synchlora astraeoides, but Dr. Aare Lindt, from the Estonian Natural History Museum, said it should be Synchlora amplimaculata.
