    1. I think this year has been quite a bloom year too. It doesn't last long though - a week maybe, then the balsams start looking quite ragged. It will all be brown and dry in a month, but for a few weeks it really is special. Posted 6 years ago

"Balsamorhiza sagittata" is a North American species of flowering plant in the sunflower tribe of the aster family known by the common name arrowleaf balsamroot. It is widespread across western Canada and much of the western United States.
