
Great White Trillium - Trillium grandiflorum
White petals with a pink blush that sometimes comes with age. The flower arises above a whorl of three, leaf-like bracts. Great White Trillium is a spring ephemeral, whose life cycle is synchronized with the forest in which it lives.

"Trillium grandiflorum" is a species of flowering plant in the family Melanthiaceae. A monocotyledonous, herbaceous perennial, it is native to eastern North America, from northern Quebec to the southern parts of the United States through the Appalachian Mountains into northernmost Georgia and west to Minnesota.
