Blue Jay - Cyanocitta cristata This blue jay was part of a pair. The male was chasing around the female. She would flutter her wings dramatically and then he would feed her. It was so sweet &lt;3<br />

  1. April is so wonderful with maximum bird activity. We have the saying "In mei leggen alle vogels een ei". In May, all birds lay. But in order to lay, they first need to "lay" lol. Posted 6 years ago
    1. Ohhhh, hehe. There was definitely plenty of laying going on in this yard. Posted 6 years ago
      1. Same in our garden. I'm currently following the soap series of a blackbird female abundance. More females than males, so it seems competition is reversed. Highlight was 3 females fighting over one male. Normally the male brings food gifts, now it looks clueless, unsure what to do. Posted 6 years ago
        1. Those are going to be some tired males! The females should bring them snacks. Posted 6 years ago
          1. You'd be a great blackbird, most don't seem this reasonable. Posted 6 years ago
            1. It should be common courtesy when dealing with reproduction. Posted 6 years ago

The blue jay is a passerine bird in the family Corvidae, native to eastern North America. It lives in most of the eastern and central United States; some eastern populations may be migratory. Resident populations are also in Newfoundland, Canada; breeding populations are found across southern Canada.
