    1. It is a really wonderful area - it's very lightly used even on the weekends, especially in the early season before the roads are reopened for the year to off road vehicles. We spent probably around 8 hours hiking and spoke to only one person - a jogger, only about 2 miles from the trail head, who was doing a quick evening run. It's not far off of the highway, but there's two tall hills between it and the preserve, so there's pretty much no noise other than the wind, the birds and the occasional airplane. Posted 6 years ago
