  1. Looks like a wide angle macro...how did you pull that off? Posted 6 years ago
    1. Well, my first response would be, “luck, I guess”. In actual fact my “go to” lens (other than the 60mm macro) is the 12-40mm f/2.8 Pro M. Zuiko which I used for this shot. Fortunately it focuses down to 20cm. The 22mm in the meta data is Micro 4/3 so in 35mm speak that would be 44mm. Posted 6 years ago
      1. Doesn't sound like luck :) Looks like the focusing distance of your wide angle is pretty close, which is nice!

Have you ever heard of Venus Optics? They make a unique wideangle macro lens:

From reviews, my understanding is that it's very hard to use. You're a touch distance of the subject, one reviewer photographing fungi even mentioned the fungi was inside the lens (inside the hood that is). And of course, this creates lighting issues too.

        1. Thanks for the link. No, haven’t heard of that one. An interesting lens for sure and at a fairly reasonable price. Seems I have enough to keep me happy and busy with the four lenses I have. I can completely understand the lighting issues. Those shadows always seem to be where you don’t want them.
