      I'm thinking Automeris belti. The dark thorax dismissed many other candidates. The eyes, brown tone, diagonal lines, red fur and orange antennae all match. The 3 spots on the wings seem doubtful yet if you look at many photos of belti it seems pretty variable:

      1. That seems closest! I was looking for a match for the white lines within the three dots as well, but couldn't find anything similar. So, maybe it's just individual variation? Posted 6 years ago
        1. I think it is, some have stains, other spots, yet all are identified as belti based on other attributes. Not sure if any of it is correct, but for now will follow that logic. Posted 6 years ago

"Automeris belti" is a moth of the Saturniidae family. It is found from Mexico to Colombia and Ecuador. The wingspan is 95–100 mm.
