
Ponmudi bush frog (Raorchestes ponmudi)
Ponmudi bush frog is a critically endangered species, found in the semi evergreen forests of Western ghats with a type locality of Ponmudi hills. And also found in the wyanad district of Kerala and it's adjoining places of familiar habitats. Reports exists from Valparai plateau of Tamilnadu. This was clicked from wyanad Tamilnadu border.

''Raorchestes ponmudi'' is a species of frog in the Rhacophoridae family. It is endemic to the Western Ghats, India and like others in the genus has a life-history that involves direct development, the tadpoles develop into tiny frogs within the egg. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests which are threatened habitats.
