Caddisfly Case This case was tubular, made of mixed materials, and was open on both ends. It was 10-15 mm long and was vertically stuck (above the water line) to a rock that was hanging over a still, woodland pond. I&#039;m assuming the water level was once higher and had covered the case at some point.<br />
