Tulipa cretica, Liliaceae
Tulipa cretica was growing in an exposed sandy windy habitat in full sun on a mountain not far from Spilli, Crete. The plants have a single narrow channelled leaf and grow among a volcanic like gravel. Its flower stem is short so the flower is close to the surface.
Similar species: Lilies, Supplejacks, Etc.
