    1. Thanks, Christine! The colors get darker at night. In some species is related to sexual display but in this parrotfish I doubt it as he was sleeping :-) Posted 6 years ago

Scarus psittacus is a ray-finned fish species from the parrotfish family (Scaridae). The scientific name of the species was first validly published in 1775 by Forsskål.
