Wood-boring Beetle Larva (Buprestidae) Gallery I thought this gallery was really cool because it looks like handwriting. I think it was created by wood-boring beetle larvae (Buprestidae) because of the zigzag pattern. I&#039;m totally sure though because the tunnels are short and end in exit holes. I always thought Buprestid larvae made longer tunnels.<br />
