Eastern Massasauga
Gravid female, approximately 80 cm in length.
I saw this beautiful snake whilst accompanying a research scientist who has been studying populations of this threatened species. This involves electro-tagging, measuring and weighing.
An additional shot in black and white taken whilst she was in the weighing tub is at top of comments.
:''Common names: massasauga, black massasauga, black rattler, more.''
