Lichtensia viburni - Larva Not sure about the correct terminology. It being a Hemiptera I would expect this to be called a nymph, but some of the literature I've found talks about larvae or avoids the terminology altogether by just referring to "instar" numbers. This should probably be a 3rd instar. The Viburnum Cushion Scale (Lichtensia viburni) is a soft scale insect (Coccidae), originally described from Viburnum but quite polyphageous and known as a pest of olive groves in the Mediterranean region.
