Sharp-lobed Hepatica - Anemone acutiloba
I'm super confused about the taxonomy of these flowers. I spotted these on a native plant trail (at a very reputable research institute) and was told that the correct scientific name is in fact Anemone acutiloba, and that Hepatica nobilis var. acuta is a synonym. I am not sure how or what to ID it as, especially after the conversation with Jivko here:

Anemone acutiloba is a wildflower in the Ranunculaceae family. It differs from the closely-related blunt-lobed hepatica (Anemone americana) in having more acutely pointed leaf lobes.
