''Melitaea deserticola'', the desert fritillary, is a butterfly of the family Nymphalidae. It is found in North Africa , Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Yemen. The larvae feed on ''Linaria aegyptiaca'', ''Plantago media'', ''Anarrhinum fruticosum'' and ''Anarrhinum'' species.
