After finding the ladybird in a slit under the headlight of the rental car I took her &quot;home&quot; for images.<br />
Overnight she:<br />
(a) Devoured a Coccinella larva found at the same road side stop and kept in the same tube - stupid, stupid  me :o((<br />
(b) Deposited some eggs in the tube that I had kept her in (together with the other larva) :o)<br />
The eggs were transferred onto a leaf and were eventually taken home to try and document a development cycle, that to my knowledge is not available yet for this species on the internet, so here is a start ...<br />

Coccinella miranda is a ladybird beetle in the subgenus Spilota of the genus Coccinella and as such most closely related to the continental European Coccinella undecimpunctata.
