
Coccinella miranda w. Mealybugs
This is NOT taken in natural conditions - I put the beetle on a leaf for "background" and the leaf had these Mealybugs on them. The beetle did take a bite, but I'm not at all sure it would do so in nature (but it may, or maybe just when very hungry?). The species certainly does feed on Aphids though.

Coccinella miranda is a ladybird beetle in the subgenus Spilota of the genus Coccinella and as such most closely related to the continental European Coccinella undecimpunctata.
