  1. Beautiful birds for sure, but swallows are one of the two kinds of birds that scare me! They dive bomb me when I walk through meadows in the summer. They will hover right in front of my face and skim my head. I hate it, lol. The other birds that I'm afraid of are Canada geese. Posted 6 years ago
    1. I know what you mean! One of my friends has a horse stable where a bunch of swallows nest in the open attic. The door to the stable is narrow and the only way in or out. Even when standing in that doorway they just keep rocketing inches from your head. At one point you just have to trust the process, that they know what they're doing :) Posted 6 years ago

The blue-and-white swallow is a passerine bird that breeds from Nicaragua south throughout South America, except in the deserts and the Amazon Basin. The southern race is migratory, wintering as far north as Trinidad, where it is a regular visitor. The nominate northern race may have bred on that island.
