The Yellow serradella

Ornithopus compressus is a small annual legume with hairy stem, hairy pinnate leaves and small yellow flowers. the fruit looks like a birds' claw, only pressed or compressed. hence the name. Calciphobic plant, grows mainly on sandy soils.
