      Oh my, I know from the top of my head that there are over 3,000. It was the very last thing I did last night, but I decided to go to bed after page 3 or so.
      
      Respect for the persistence because it is a lot of work whilst often still not finding the species name, even if you find a visual match. Still, one of the best resources out there. Posted 6 years ago

        That's the spirit. For the record, I would have never given up on this one, it's just too beautiful to not be ID-ed and it would be incredibly unlikely for such a standout moth to not be possible to ID. Yet I found it more difficult than expected, in my first shallow search.
