      1. Looks super close. Posted 6 years ago
    2. Or Cosmosoma braconoides based on this page:
      https://cahurel-entomologie.com/gs/index.php?id=cosmosoma#!prettyPhoto[cosmosoma]/2/

Seems the banding is very variable.

      1. That's tricky, especially if the banding is variable. But, this one looks too dark - the thorax especially. Could be though. Posted 6 years ago
        1. I'll throw this one into the FB group, see what it brings. Posted 6 years ago
          1. Good luck, lol! Posted 6 years ago
            1. You sounds a bit cynical of the group's potential. You completely dismiss all the help I'm getting from there, such as: "Looks like a city scape from a satellite". Posted 6 years ago
              1. I would immediately strike out that suggestion since its not in the proper binomial format. Posted 6 years ago
                1. Hehe, seriously though indeed that group is a bit disappointing in getting actual help. By comparison, if I share a batch of 10, you identify 5-7 almost immediately, and the rest up to the genus. Over there it never seems to go beyond genus, if there's a useful response at all.

Bottom line: very lucky to have you!

                  1. Thanks Ferdy!

I think it's because a lot of people in the FB groups are fans of nature, but not actually knowledgeable regarding IDs. Sometimes, I get invaluable help in the FB groups and other times, I get ridiculous suggestions. Hit or miss, but often a miss.
