    1. Thanks! We stayed at a great place called the canopy tower, which is, indeed, a decommissioned military tower in the middle of the forest. Everyday, they string bananas in a tree right outside the dining room window, and the tamarins quickly come for a snack, only a couple meters away from the guests! Posted 6 years ago

Geoffroy's tamarin , also known as the Panamanian, red-crested or rufous-naped tamarin, is a tamarin, a type of small monkey, found in Panama and Colombia. It is predominantly black and white, with a reddish nape. Diurnal, Geoffroy's tamarin spends most of its time in trees, but does come down to the ground occasionally.
