      Yes, it was definitely cold here in the mornings, just slightly above zero and very, very wet. Nothing crazy though, our winters are similar. Posted 6 years ago

          The altitude does explain it, but when first experiencing it, it's unreal given that you're in Colombia. The next location is even more unreal: back to the jungle. So the same vegetation as any jungle, but then very, very cold. Posted 6 years ago

The Andean siskin

The Andean siskin is a species of finch in the family Fringillidae. It is found in Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland, subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland, and heavily degraded former forest.
