Hairy Long Stem Marasmius - Rhizomarasmius pyrrhocephalus

Orange cap that was nearly flat and about 2 cm across. The cap was wrinkled and had some slight lines around the margin. The stem was reddish brown, very tough, hairy, and rooted. Gills were cream colored and were attached to the stem. These mushrooms shrivel up when the weather is dry. When it rains again, they will revive and assume their usual proportions. This reviving ability is called "marcescence".
