Snowstorm April 16, 2014

The day after the April 16th snowstorm This is how a part of my woods looked after about 10 inches of snow fell the previous day. A bit unusual for this much snow in spring. Before the snowfall, all of the winter's snow had melted and the ground was clear.<br /> <br /> Most of the trees are balsam fir (Abies balsamea) and a few balsam poplars (Populus balsamnifera).
