Tall moss on pink lichen, La Cocha Páramo, Colombia The P&aacute;ramo plant/fungi life is so weird that I struggle to comprehend what we saw. My deciphering here is that this is a pink lichen which has very lengthy finger-like mosses growing out of it. Here&#039;s the same pink lichen separately:<br />

  1. That moss is wild! Posted 6 years ago
    1. In hindsight we should have had another day, and then for that day to only photograph every single plant, lichen, moss. I'm afraid all we've got are some quick smartphone snaps of our brief visit. I also noted online this ecosystem is very poorly documented. Posted 6 years ago
      1. Smartphone pics are better than nothing, and can actually be pretty good, in my opinion. I'm pretty sure that I would tweak in a habitat like that...it would be so hard to walk away without hours and hours of exploration, of which I would probably never be truly "satisfied". 1. Lol you would go wild in the Paramo, I'm sure! Same for every cloud forest, they are so richly decorated with life. Posted 6 years ago
