Lepanthes oxypetala - closeup, La Cocha, Colombia
A new and first day at a new site: La Cocha, situated at around 3000m asl, but we would sometimes go higher. On this cold morning, we started with a brief search for some very obscure orchid species. I'm removing the geotag because of poachers. The total flower size of this one is 3mm.

Lepanthes oxypetala is an orchid found in Ecuador and Colombia, in cloud forests at elevations of 2900 to 3500 meters as a small sized, cold growing epiphyte.
