
Sehirus cinctus
Sehirus cinctus (White-margined Burrower Bug) one of several adult forms tending a brood of nymphs. Sehirus cinctus females care for their young and bring them immature seeds of Mint Family (Lamiaceae) plants. In the garden where these were found was a large patch of Galeopsis tetrahit (Horse Nettle) a weedy member of the Mint Family.

''Sehirus cinctus'', also known as the white-margined burrower bug, is within the genus of burrowing bugs belonging to the family Cydnidae, subfamily Sehirinae. Belonging to the suborder Heteroptera, they are true bugs.
