    1. It is very flat land and much of the time it would be very bog like. It is very close to a tidal river system with a lot of mangroves but I found the sundews still within the area which would not be affected by seawater.

"Drosera spatulata" is a variable, rosette-forming sundew with spoon-shaped leaves. This sundew has a large range and occurs naturally throughout Southeast Asia, southern China and Japan, Micronesia, Papua New Guinea, eastern Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand.
