  1. I wonder if the bees are attracted to the honeydew of scale insects and not just the oak's pollen. I've read about a rare honey made from the honeydew of these insects. Posted 6 years ago

      1. I think it was in a book on honeybees called Sweetness and Light or some other one I had read on the history of beekeeping. I'll try to find that book. Posted 6 years ago

''Quercus ithaburensis'', the Mount Tabor oak, is a tree in the beech family. It is found in Southeastern Europe, from southeastern Italy, southern Albania and Greece, and in southwestern Asia from Turkey south through Lebanon, Israel, Syria, and neighboring Jordan, whose national tree it is.
