
The day after the April 16th snowstorm
This is how a part of my woods looked after about 10 inches of snow fell the previous day. A bit unusual for this much snow in spring. Before the snowfall, all of the winter's snow had melted and the ground was clear.
Most of the trees are balsam fir (Abies balsamea) and a few balsam poplars (Populus balsamnifera).
